In the early years of the sustainability movement Tell worked for SustainAbility, the leading international think tank and strategy consultancy for corporate sustainability and responsibility. There, he experienced and contributed to the global shift in awareness in the business community from environmental compliance to corporate sustainability and sustainable investment.
He has advised multinational companies and organizations such as: Allianz, Abbott Laboratories, AstraZeneca, Aventis, BASF, Bayer, BMW, Canon, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Post, Deutsche Telekom, European Patent Office, IKEA, Intel, HP, Microsoft, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, SABMiller, Schering, Shell, Sony, Toyota and Volkswagen.
