The Transformational Leader Pathway is an accredited three-level leadership development programme for leaders who want to enable extraordinary results. Participants include board members, senior executives, managers and people leaders generally. In 9 months you will transform your thinking about leadership and how you lead.

The Transformational Leader Pathway is a unique leadership development programme. It focuses on behaviour and mindset through mastering coaching for leaders. As we go about our daily life as human beings, we get in our own way. Mostly unconsciously, we create the interference to our own performance. As leaders, we continue this theme and create interference for others.

In the programme, you will become aware of limiting mindsets and beliefs that hold you, your team and your organization back. You will learn how to shift these mindsets so that you can consciously tap into the full potential of yourself and those around you. You will learn to become a consciously competent “leader–coach” and transformational leader. This programme will set you apart in the world as a transformational leader who is able to navigate and thrive amidst the challenges of the 21st century.

Who is the Transformational Leader Pathway for?

The Transformational Leader Pathway is for people who want to take their leadership to the next level. You already have the technical skills you need or are on the road to learning them. Alongside those, to be an extraordinary leader, you also need the soft skills to lead teams and entire organizations. Your fellow participants will include managers, senior executives and board members together with high potential future leaders from around the world. Leaders are not usually looking to become coaches but by developing a “coaching leadership style” they can unleash potential in their organization.

The Silver Transformational Leader plan follows the Coaching for Performance coach certification syllabus to Levels 1 and 2.

The Gold Transformational Leader plan follows the Coaching for Performance coach certification syllabus to Levels 1, 2 and 3.

Programme Structure

The Silver and Gold Plans are available in two different format options to suit your needs:

OPTION 1 “Intensive”: Each module consists of full-time 2-day workshops (virtual or in-person) with 2 follow-up sessions of 1-hour. 

OPTION 2 “Phased”: Each module consists of 2-3 hour weekly workshops (virtual) across 6 weeks. (Not available for Level 3)

Coaching for Performance Level 1 consists of one module
Coaching for Performance Level 2 consists of two modules
Coaching for Performance Level 3 consists of three modules

Individual Development – 1:1 Coaching

For participants of our Transformational Leader programmes, seven 1:1 coaching sessions are included in your package making it extremely cost effective. You will receive Executive Coaching from one of our world-class performance coaches which will deepen the learning and create long-term success. In seven 1:1 coaching sessions, you will focus on strengthening and putting into practice the skills learned in the workshops. Your last session will be a Review Session in which you will trace your journey of how you have mastered being a leader–coach across the spectrum of leadership including building trust, creating the vision to inspire high performance and creating a learning culture. We hand-pick the best coaches in the world to be our performance coaches. Not only are they certified professional coaches, they also have advanced degrees and senior-level experience.

Programme summary

Level 1 | Coaching for Performance

The first module introduces the fundamental coaching principles and skills of Coaching for Performance that are essential to high-performance leadership. The 2-day foundation workshop and two 1-hour follow-up workshops develop key emotional intelligence competencies, present a powerful approach to performance feedback and will give you a taste of the true power of a coaching approach within organizations. You will develop valuable new skills, tools and behaviours that are the basis for creating motivation and success in your organization. With an experiential focus on practice and feedback from our world-class facilitators, you will learn the key coaching skills needed to lead high performance in individuals and teams.

Level 2 | Transformational Leadership

The second level, consisting of two 2-day modules, each with two 1-hour follow-up workshops, builds on the fundamental skills learnt in Coaching for Performance by developing and enhancing coaching leadership skills and exploring the change process from a deeper level. Here you will learn about transformational versus transactional leading, emphasizing strengths, reducing internal interferences and empowering people. Leaders learn how to build trust and strong relationships and how to connect “below the waterline” at the level of mindsets, feelings, thoughts, beliefs and power sources which make up our inner reality and which drive our outer reality. You will explore your inner leadership and learn to create a meaningful journey for yourself and others that will increase learning, enjoyment and accountability.

Level 3 | Leader-Coach Mastery

Level 3, which consists of three modules (two 2-day and one 3-day) plus three 1-hour follow-up workshops, goes even deeper into transformational coaching (rather than transactional) and expands understanding and experience of the human development process. You will continue your personal transformation and develop a strong facilitative leadership style that encompasses effective communication, innovation, quick decision-making and the vision to inspire high performance and lasting behaviour change. You will explore the neuroscience of human change and its application within business and be introduced to advanced coaching competencies so that you can develop mastery of transformational leadership that creates sustained excellence and maximum performance. Finally, you will pull together everything you have learnt across the programme and develop your own Personal Leadership Vision and intention so that you can step into being the extraordinary leader that you are.

What will my return on investment be?

The last session of your 1:1 coaching will be a Review Session with a specially trained Review Coach. During this session, your Review Coach will gather all the information needed to create a detailed report and return on investment of the Transformational Leader programme for you which you can share with your organisation.

What is the structure of the course?

The public course is available in a choice of intensive or phased formats:

OPTION 1 “Intensive”: (in-person or online):
Level 1:  2 full days + 2 x 1-hour virtual workshops.
Level 2 Module 1: 2 full days + 2 x 1-hour virtual workshops
Level 2 Module 2: 2 full days + 2 x 1-hour virtual workshops
1:1 Coaching: 6 x 1-hour individual virtual coaching sessions plus 1 x 1-hour review session

OPTION 2 “Phased”: (online only): 
Level 1: 1 x 2-hour class + 5 x 3-hour classes
Level 2 Module 1: 1 x 2-hour class + 5 x 3-hour classes

1:1 Coaching: 6 x 1-hour individual virtual coaching sessions plus 1 x 1-hour review session

Do participants receive individual support? 

Programmes are run with groups of no more than 12 participants. Each individual receives personal attention and feedback from the lead and assistant facilitators who are all highly experienced and qualified coaches. Learning is also supported by an assessment, facilitated supervision calls, practice assignments and a course booklet.

Are there different options for how I can obtain this training for myself or my organization?

Yes, there are several different ways in which the Transformational Leader Pathway can be delivered:

PUBLIC-ACCESS: We deliver leadership and coaching training globally (see the Global Public Workshops Diary) to groups of senior-level, international peers.

IN-HOUSE: We can deliver this leadership programme for your organization at your chosen venues, worldwide. To bring this programme into your organization, please get in touch.
