Overview
It is now widely recognised that only drastic economic, technological and societal transformation on a global level can avoid major and ultimate global catastrophe. Such transformation is possible only if fundamental shifts in the values and attitudes of man occur in the human character orientation, such as a new ethic in relatedness towards each other and nature.

The need for profound human transformation emerges not only as an ethical or religious demand, not only as a psychological demand from the pathogenic nature of our present social character, but also as a condition for sheer survival of the human race. Right living is no longer only the fulfilment of an ethical or religious demand.
For the first time in history the physical survival of the human race depends on the radical transformation of the human heart. However, a transformation of the humanity is possible only to the extent that drastic economic and social changes occur that give the human heart the opportunity for transformation, and the courage and the vision to achieve it.
A Fundamental Transformation in Human Character
The premise that all the great Masters of Living have advocated is that only a fundamental transformation in human character from a preponderance of focus on 'having' to a focus on 'being' can save us from an economic and pyschological catastrope – the question must arise: Is large-scale transformation possible and, if so, how can it be brought about?
One of the key messages is that the journey of culture transformation begins with personal awareness and responsibility – that we cannot transform the culture of the company, organisation or globe unless we as individuals are willing to examine and transform our own behaviours.
