Overview
An important element in Performance Consultants International's growth strategy
is to build on its strong UK core by selectively expanding offshore. This expansion
takes the form of additional overseas offices to
service clients of its existing businesses better and the creation of new businesses
where the Group can contibute a special value in a relevant market. While the
UK and Europe remain of key importance, North America and the Asia Pacific region
we hope will also become and important sphere of geographical
expansion in not so distant years.
 In practical terms joint ventures
are where we cooperate with other people and organisations, where we both, produce
mutually agreeable results. It can be cooperation with private sector institutions
or with the public sector. Although our form is corporate, our attitude
is partnership. We think of any of our joint venture partners as owner-partners,
and of ourselves as managing partners. (Because of the size of our shareholdings
we are also, for better or worse, controlling partners.) We do not view the joint
venture company itself as the ultimate owner of the business assets but instead
view the company as a conduit through which we each own the assets.
