Professional Experience
Les currently specialises in the transformation of companies and individuals through
alignment, coaching and leadership. A combination of vision, ethical values,
strategy and action can allow high levels of sustainable performance to be achieved through the self-mastery of the four intelligences:
- mind (IQ);
- body
(PQ);
- spirit (SQ); and
- emotions (EQ).
In any type of performance enhancement, the mind is key. Therefore asking questions to raise awareness and helping individuals to choose to take responsibility are the foundation
on which success is built.
Les works with companies and individuals at board
level and below, helping them to develop their leadership capability. As one of our Senior Trainers he runs workshops on:
- coaching;
- leadership;
- alignment;
- emotional intelligence (EQ);
- strategy;
- transitions;
and
- team building.
General Background
Les spent 25 years with Cadbury Ltd in sales management, encompassing many, diverse roles including National Account
Manager, Divisional Sales Director and National Sales Training and Recruitment
Manager. In 1995 Les helped set up Cadbury Russia. Les' emphasis has always been on practical achievement and he enjoyed
the competitive environment and high challenge of sales. Having a passionate belief
in helping people to become more successful, he introduced coaching to sales management
as a key to enhanced performance. As a conseqence, coaching was adopted by the
front-line sales people as a way of more positively influencing their customers
through a 'pulling' rather than 'pushing' selling style.
Les' passion includes sport, and he played for Wales as a junior international rugby player. He currently
works with UK athletics to develop their coaches as mentors.
Sales Specific Background
As Sales Operations Manager, Les' portfolio
included sales planning, display, trade sector marketing and training. He trained new managers, particularly those making
the transition from junior to senior management. He helped to establish the role
model of "postive leadership" and also to build a a group of individuals into a high performing
team.
