The Background Performance Consultants has since
1989 been a partnership providing leading-edge consultancy to business in the
field of coaching and within the last decade also in leadership development and
organisational change. The partnership, which was founded by Sir
John Whitmore, David Hemery CBE
and David Whitaker OBE, has served many major corporations and organisations in
a broad spread of sectors both in the UK and abroad. "Coaching
for Performance", John Whitmore's book, which includes the partnership's
early insights and understanding, was first published in 1992 and is now in its
third edition with over 300,000 copies sold, in 17 languages.

Moving Forward
Performance Consultants International will be
forming extensive links with other organisations
abroad to meet globalisation expectations and the essential nature of whole system
thinking in a fast changing environment.
We see the possibility of many
entities being created and nutured that will help provide transformation expertise,
skills and technology for individuals, businesses and institutions and that have
a truly positive impact on the world.
So many people in our world are
calling for real change and particularly so in the lead industry of transformation but as yet it has not truly been able to be manifested. It is a inspiring vision
and one which many want to be involved in. We feel that we can see how this could
possibly be done headquartered and starting from London but then very much moving
abroad international and having a truly global reach.
Our own personal
first task is to create the architecture from the large network of associated
organisations in many countries into a cohesive team. We have firm relationships
with companies having similar interests already in Australia,
Brasil, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Russia, and ones
in development elsewhere.
